A few years ago I was sent a copy of my great grandfather Reuben's naturalisation certificate - dated 19th May 1919. It states he was born in Vortsluvick, Poland, Russia which is either a misspelling or a place that, due to the pogroms, no longer exists.

The erasure of this town has haunted me since and that's reflected in this track, which in essence is asking the questions 'Who are you, where do you come from - and where are your family?'

This isn't just a track about a vanishing place, but also a vanishing identity.
